Southwark Bridge inspection

Bell Access & Engineering Ltd supplied a team of four IRATA qualified technicians to undertake a visual and photographic survey of the underside of Southwark Bridge in central London.
The team allowed for one span to be inspected per day, causing minimal disruption to river traffic and the Port of London Authority.

Water safety support was in attendance throughout the
project to aid with rescue in the event of an incident at
height and assist with river access and equipment
logistics.

Utilising rope access and fall arrest techniques, the team
were able to access and survey all areas of the underside
of the structure.
